i read every word of the product desciption. i have been looking for a constant read digital meat thermometer and thought i had found it.the product description neglects to say "instant read only" alas it is in the drawer with 2 others, unopened. i am hoping my grand daughter will be happy when she finds it in her xmas stocking. peg phlieger

Hard to wash because not dishwasher safe. Knew this going in but was desperate for an accurate thermometer that will last. Hopefully it is husband safe, but we'll see! ;) It can be a few degrees off as well. My search for the perfect thermometer goes on.....
